Time of day

There is a growing trend within Christianity no one is talking about… Christians are leaving the church in droves! Seriously, when was the last time you went to church? Has it been a few weeks, a couple of months, years? While those polled will often cite their lack of attendance on the fact they’ve gotten busy, I have found an increasing number have left the church because they have grown tired of an approach more interested in attracting seekers than caring for their members!

It’s sad, but in a model that boasts of being a “church for the un-churched” the development of healthy Christians has taken a backseat. Have you experienced this trend? Has the church service you attend grown superficial and shallow? Do you ever leave a Sunday service longing for something deeper, more impactful, and simple? Does the church seem more focused on reaching new people at the expense of caring for those who already attend?

At Calvary316 we believe many people have left the church because the church has failed in its core mission. I know this sounds novel, but it is our unapologetic desire to be a church for the Christian! Our Sunday service centers on teaching God’s Word in an honest and challenging way. We go through books of the Bible and don’t avoid controversial passages.

While our worship is contemporary, we are more interested in exalting the name of Jesus than in providing an entertaining rock show. When it’s all said and done our heart is to be an authentic, simple manifestation of what Jesus has called His church to be! If this resonates with you and you’ve been craving a church that is serious about seeing Christians encounter Jesus and grow in His grace, let me invite you to visit Calvary316 for our in-person Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. If you are not comfortable coming in person, you can always watch our service on our FACEBOOK page or via our YOUTUBE channel.

Children’s Ministry

Jessica Adams

Visiting with kids? Our Children’s Ministry has two dedicated areas in the building to help them learn and grow in faith. For our toddlers up through pre-school, we offer a program in our KidZone on the ground floor (just left of the sanctuary), including worship, Bible lessons, crafts, and snacks. For K5 through 5th, there’s a class upstairs in a separate room, focused on age-appropriate discussions and activities. If you’re new to Calvary316 and need assistance finding the right spot, please look for our Children’s Ministry Director, Mrs. Jessica Adams—she’ll be happy to help.

Nursery Ministry

Carolina Davis

For families with newborns and babies, we offer a welcoming nursery area on the left side of the facility, across from the KidZone and through the kitchen. It’s fully sanitized and staffed, with a dedicated play space where little ones can enjoy activities alongside age-appropriate Bible lessons. Nursing mothers will appreciate our private room off the nursery, which provides access to the sanctuary so you can feed comfortably while still joining the service. If you have any questions, feel free to connect with our nursery coordinator, Mrs. Carolina Davis.

Worship Service

At Calvary316, while contemporary in style, our worship is not a performance and the congregation is not the audience. We gather as one body to celebrate Christ above. Our core desire is to bring praise to the one true audience: Jesus, our Savior and King. Before Bible study begins, we are led in five worship songs. While we begin by standing together, everyone is free to sit or stand as the Holy Spirit leads them. The goal is the same either way: that every voice and every heart would exalt the Name above all others.

Youth Ministry

Derek Kennedy

We’re thrilled to have the 6-10(graders) join us in the sanctuary for the opening worship songs. It’s a great way to start the morning! Then, Pastor Zach will dismiss them just before the Bible study to head upstairs for their own engaging session led by our youth pastor, Derek Kennedy. You’ll find the room just to the right of the balcony, and we promise it’ll be a welcoming space full of meaningful discussions and connections.
